The Circulatory System - About
The Circulatory System is an interactive web site designed to help medical students learn about the human circulatory system.
This interactive explores the major parts of the circulatory system, such as the Heart, Jugular Veins, and the Aorta.
Each page of the interactive contains a detailed illustration, facts, phonetic pronunciation and more.
The interactive was a team project, with each member providing a different role. My role on the project was the developer.

The Circulatory System - Process
My role on this project was that of the developer. I handled the technical aspects of the project, which included coding and testing the interactive.
The first work I did on the project was to create a script. This script outlined each page of the interactive, and detailed the interactivity on each page along with what content will display. The script also contained an asset list, which listed specific files that were need for each page.
Next, I created a flowchart. The flowchart illustrated how the user would proceed when using the interactive, buy asking simple yes/no questions.
The last initial step was to create a wire frame. The wire frame was a simple black and white layout, designed to gain an idea of the basic structure of the interactive. This help to decide where content, headers and such would go, and how much white space between the content.
After the wire frame was completed and the design finalized, I finally began the coding for the interactive. I started by adding the functionality to the interactive, adding the main navigation the content for each page. The final touch to the interactive was to add the search engine. The search allows the user to type in word, and jump to that specific page.
